Warranty and workmanship
Manufacturer and labor warranties are different. Both matter.

Is it rude to ask for the plumber's license number?+
No. Kentucky requires plumbing work to be done by a licensed plumber, and the license number is public record. Reputable companies expect the question and provide it without pushback.
